Description

The Welder/Fitter role involves working on various construction projects, fabricating and assembling metal structures and equipment using welders, cutters, shapers and measuring tools. The successful candidate will be required to follow blueprints, ensure the structural soundness of their work, and maintain a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

  • Performing welding duties using a wire welder
  • Handling the tasks of fitting, grinding, and plasma cutting
  • Repairing and maintaining metal equipment and structures
  • Selecting appropriate material and equipment for the project
  • Ensuring the structural soundness and complete the job

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Welder/Fitter
  • Valid CSCS Card
  • Fluent English
  • Must own Welder and a good set of tools
  • Strong understanding of the construction process
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and documents
  • Strong problem-solving skills
