Description

This position involves overseeing the movement of vehicles on a worksite. The Banksman will alert drivers to obstacles in their path and other possible dangers. They will also coordinate the movements of cranes and larger vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Safely directing vehicles around the construction site
  • Observing and preventing potential dangers and accidents
  • Communicating effectively with the vehicle drivers and team members
  • Coordination of vehicle movement using standardized hand signals
  • Ensuring safety compliance on site at all times

Requirements

  • Certified Traffic Banksman
  • Solid understanding of construction site protocols
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
  • Ability to act quickly with sound judgement in a busy work environment
  • High level of physical fitness and strength
