Description

A fantastic opportunity has opened for 2 skilled Carpenters interested in working 8 hours a day, 5 days a week at SW6 location. The job promises long term employment and good pay along with a requirement for a CSCS card which ensures optimum safety at work.

Carpenter CSCS Full-time Long term

Responsibilities

  • Prepare the layout of the project
  • Estimate height, width, length, and other proportions
  • Work with blueprints or instructions from supervisors
  • Work with materials such as wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall
  • Utilize chisels, planes, saws, drills, and sanders to repair and erect structures
  • Join materials with nails, screws, staples, or adhesives
  • Check work along the way to ensure it's up to code and specifications
  • Use levels, rules, plumb bobs, framing squares, and surveying equipment to ensure everything is level and secure
  • Work with prefabricated buildings
  • Build stairs, mantles, and furniture
  • Install cabinets and molding
  • Remodel homes and businesses
  • Build scaffolding and other construction structures

Requirements

  • CSCS card
  • Proven experience as a Carpenter
  • Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials
  • Proficiency in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
  • Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times
  • Good knowledge of English
  • Understanding of basic math
